The story takes place in the great kingdom of Brumeterre, which prospered thanks to the vast magical deposits lying dormant in its depths. New, technologically advanced artificial life forms called "homunculi" promised the kingdom a bright future. However, a corrupting smoke emanating from the earth's depths transformed the homunculi into destructive monsters.

You play as Lila, one of the "tuners" whose powers can soothe homunculi. You awaken in an underground laboratory and encounter a homunculus whose past is intimately linked to the tragedy that has befallen the kingdom.

Accompanied by the homunculi who have sworn to help you, you will embark on a long journey through Brumeterre in search of your lost memories and missing comrades. A story of destruction and renewal in an apocalyptic world, several decades after the catastrophe of the rain of death.

ENDER MAGNOLIA is a Metroidvania with RPG elements set in a dark fantasy world that takes you on a quest to save humans and homunculi across the kingdom of Brumeterre, which is on the brink of destruction. Explore the mysteries of this layered civilization where magic and technology are intertwined, through enigmatic locations such as an abandoned ancient city, blood-soaked laboratories, a majestic occult institute, and a colossal factory.

On your journey, you will encounter homunculi driven mad, attacking those they were meant to protect. Confront formidable enemies and use Lila's powers to free their souls, making them your allies. Who will be saved at the end of your adventure: the humans or the homunculi...?
