9 Years of Shadows PS5

A side-scrolling Metroidvania just the way we like them!

Journey with Europa, a courageous warrior determined to enter Talos, a mechanical giant, and end the corruption within before it shrouds the entire world in darkness. Battle corrupted creatures, encounter charismatic musicians, and uncover the truth behind the curse that has stripped the land of its color.

Many have ventured into the depths of Talos, a sleeping fortress that was the cradle of many civilizations throughout the centuries.

And, having lost everything, nothing prevents Europa from attempting what no one has ever succeeded at. As a noble warrior who refuses to succumb to the curse, she must enter the castle, find the source of the corruption, and regain her color once and for all.

Europa is not alone in facing this ordeal. Inside the giant, she befriends Apino, a cute floating bear who seems to possess magical powers, can restore color, and heal his allies. He is also able to protect his companions from the many dangers lurking in the corridors of Talos.

While exploring the castle, Apino can purge the corruption that is invading Talos and fire a variety of projectiles capable of destroying dark crystals and inflicting damage:

• A punch upwards
  - An explosion that travels along a surface until it collides with something.
  - A cyclone that returns to Apino like a boomerang

Bonus features in the Playstation 5 Standard Edition:
  - A secret postcard from Talos

A rich and intense Metroidvania that emerges from the shadows

• 9 Years of Shadows is a side-scrolling Metroidvania from the Mexican team "Halberd Studios" and published by "Jandusoft".
• Use the elements to traverse the map. Take possession of elemental armor, treasures of ancient civilizations, change them whenever you like and use their abilities to progress: whether it's swimming along waterfalls, crossing underground tunnels or gliding in hot air currents.

• Master the power of electricity, water, earth, and fire. Destabilize bosses by changing armor, execute powerful combos with your halberd, and exploit your opponents' weaknesses to carve your path to the heart of darkness.
• Music is nothing less than the soul of the game. Bring the world to life while listening to a moving soundtrack composed by Miguel Hasson, as well as soothing tracks recorded in 432hz by renowned composers Michiru Yamane (the Castlevania series) and Norihiko Hibino (the Metal Gear Solid series).
• Meet these guest composers in-game as NPCs who will help Europa in her quest.
• Music is the thread that links the game mechanics and the story: collect musical notes and sing a soothing lullaby to heal yourself.
