These classic "cute 'em ups" have been around since 1991, when the first installment was released in Japanese arcades. As back then, you play as the young witch Cotton accompanied by her faithful (?!) fairy Silk. The original game received a modern remake called Cotton Reboot!, and Cotton Reboot! High Tension! is its sequel and natural evolution. Magical!
A FESTIVAL OF HORIZONTAL ACTION There are two types of shoot 'em ups: vertical or horizontal scrolling. Cotton Reboot! High Tension! belongs to the second category. You control the witch Cotton on her broom, firing forward or using bombs against ground enemies. Your adversaries are numerous and formidable, but Cotton's firepower is not to be underestimated. Fight with courage and victory will be yours.
POWER OF CRYSTALS: When you eliminate enemies, they drop yellow crystals. If you shoot them before picking them up, they change color. Colored crystals allow you to improve your elemental spells. But that's not all! By shooting through crystals to hit enemies, you fill a special gauge that activates Willow Fever mode.
OVER TENSION! Where does the High Tension subtitle come from? It's linked to the game's main mechanic! In Willow Fever mode, collect Willow candies to enter Over Tension mode. In this state, enemy attacks become more violent, but you can use powerful hidden magic to increase your score. To get the maximum score, mastering Over Tension is essential. Good luck!
