THE ORIGIN OF COTTON Welcome to Cotton Reboot!! This wonderful game series originated in arcades in 1991, before being adapted two years later for the Japanese Sharp X68000 computer. It was on this occasion that we first met the young witch Cotton and the fairy Silk, on a quest to save Fairy Land. Since then, these characters have become some of the most iconic mascots of the cute 'em up genre. It's time to return to this fantastic game, completely renewed and improved!
FOUR TIMES THE FUN Four different ways to play are available in Cotton Reboot! First, the main Arrange mode features widescreen resolution, new HD graphics, and new voice acting. You can also try the Time Attack mode, where your time is limited to 2 or 5 minutes, or enjoy the original X68000 version to see how the game has evolved over the decades. Finally, Nightmare mode adds increased difficulty and new enemies (exclusive to the 2026 edition).
RHYTHM ON A BROOMSTICK: Cotton Reboot! offers an optional remastered soundtrack, created by big names in Japanese gaming such as Shinji Hosoe, Hiroyuki Kawada, and Hisayoshi Ogura. Whether you choose the new music or the original, you'll be grooving while fighting enemies on your broomstick!
JEWEL FEVER: An essential mechanic is "Jewel Fever." By shooting down enemies, you fill a gauge. Once full, you can activate this mode, which significantly increases your power and point gains. Ideal for surviving or maximizing your score!
USE THE CRYSTALS! Cotton Reboot! is a magnificent horizontal-scrolling cute 'em up. One button allows you to shoot, another to drop bombs on the ground. Defeated enemies drop yellow crystals used to upgrade your weapon. By shooting them, they change color and grant different elemental spells. It's up to you to choose your playstyle!
